Meet Our Challenge Participants

"All of us have a past or present association to Barts Cancer Institute and are aware of the wonderful work carried out by a plethora of world-renowned scientists using every available approach in the battle to defeat cancer.
Unfortunately almost every family has been affected in some way by cancer and when the opportunity presented itself to do our little bit to help by raising some money and at the same time challenge ourselves by entering the London Triathlon and to do this in a team – we could hardly say no!"
This is why Christopher (in white lab coat), a PhD student here at QMUL, wants to raise money for BCI:
"I've never done something like this before. I am not a long distance runner and am prone to turning into a beetroot just running for a bus, however this July I will be running a whole 10 kilometers, that's a 1/10th of the way to space!!
The reason I'm putting myself through this is to help raise money to further cancer research at the Barts Cancer Institute. BCI is massively important in cancer research, which ultimately will help improve and save lives of those suffering and their loved ones."
Luke Marshall (pictured) & Hanlon Tong are both taking part in the RideLondon in aid of BCI:
"The BCI are internationally renowned in multiple fields of cancer research. Their innovative research, tissue banks, trials and approach to experimental medicines aim to ultimately benefit us all.
We want to raise money and help fight cancer - and we need your support to help us achieve our modest target."
