For this week's installment of the BCI's Thursday Seminar Series, Prof. Mark Cragg - Professor of Experimental Cancer Research and Director of the i4PhD Cancer Immunology Pathway - shall be speaking. Prof. Cragg's research group is interested in two main areas: antibodies and small molecule inhibitors with the aim of understanding how these therapeutics function to delete tumour cells and how they might be augmented.

This seminar shall be in the Lister and Young Seminar Room, from 12.30pm-1.30pm.

Dr. Lagos' work focuses on microRNA-mediated silencing, a core molecular process required for mammalian cell development, homeostasis annd response to pathogenic and pathologic challenges.

For this installment of the BCI's Thursday Seminar Series, Dr. Daniele Fachinetti - Cell Biology Center, Institute Carie, France - shall be speaking. Dr. Fachinetti's research focuses on the centromere, including the understanding of molecular mechanisms that regulate centromere formation, faithful chromosome distribution in mitosis, and how these are linked to genome stability and human health and disease.
