Ms Elizabeth Murray

I am investigating the role of a family of PKC-related kinases in fibroblasts associated with the pancreas. These non-cancerous cells in the tumour microenvironment help pancreatic cancer grow by affecting the proliferation, migration and invasion of cancer cells.

We hope that identifying potential drug targets in the cancer stroma could lead to improved therapies for pancreatic cancer patients
