My project focuses on understanding how the proteins involved in RNA binding and alternative splicing of pre-mRNA are regulated.
Specifically I am interested in how expression, localisation and activity of these proteins changes during tumourigenesis, invasion and metastasis of prostate cancer cells.
I am also investigating the role of alternative splicing in development of treatment resistance in prostate cancer. My expertise are in primary cell culture, genomic manipulation (e.g. Lentivirus, CRISPR/Cas9), three dimensional cell modelling and functional assays of cellular and molecular biology.
