Ms Priththivika Baskaran

The focus of my research is on the role of a particular family of protein kinases in cell growth, migration and invasion in breast cancer, specifically triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC).

In parallel, I am also investigating the role of these kinases in the stroma (tissue surrounding the tumour) on cancer cell invasion. Validation of targeting this novel family of kinases in TNBC can be translated into clinical therapy, which can be aided by targeting additional molecules with currently available drugs in the clinic.
