Triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC) is currently the only major breast tumour subtype without effective targeted therapy and it has a high risk of distant metastases and poor survival.

In this project, we will construct replicating Adenovirus (AdV) and Vaccinia virus (VV) vectors to express multiple TAAs commonly expressed in TNBC (MUC-1, Mesothelin and MAGE-A10) as well as HSP70 using our new generation of replicating AdV and VV vectors.

The viruses will be used to vaccinate mice bearing TNBC. The vaccine regime will be fine-tuned by combination with anti-CD137 antibody and anti-CTLA-4 or anti-PD-L1 antibody to improve the activity of the effector T cells.
