We are pleased to announce that Dr Mirjana Efremova from the Wellcome Sanger Institute will present at the BCI on Wednesday 9th October.
Mirjana did her BSc (Computer Science) and MSc (Bioinformatics) in Macedonia. She then completed her PhD in the field of computational cancer immunology at the Medical University of Innsbruck. Mirjana is interested in the role of the immune system in cancer progression. At the Teichmann Lab, she is applying single cell technologies and computational approaches to study the cellular diversity within the tumour microenvironment and to understand the underlaying mechanisms involved in mediating interactions between tumour and immune cells.
The seminar is entitled: “Decoding cell-cell communication networks by single cell transcriptomics”
The seminar will be held in the Lister and Young Seminar Room, 15:00-16:00.
