Congratulations to Professor Ranjit Manchanda from the Cancer Research UK Barts Centre who has been awarded the Distinguished Infosys Chair in Oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, India.
AIIMS is India’s premier school and institute for medical training (including postgraduate training), education and research. The Distinguished Infosys Chair in Oncology is awarded to honour a distinguished faculty for their achievements in the field and offers an opportunity to work at AIIMS.
Ranjit Manchanda, Professor of Gynaecological Oncology at the Wolfson Institute of Population Health at Queen Mary University of London and Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at Barts Health NHS Trust said:
“This award means a lot to me and it is an honour and privilege to have received it. I am excited at the opportunity to work with colleagues at AIIMS across both clinical and academic domains, and bring our institutes together with the common aim to reduce the burden of disease and improve the lives of women affected by gynaecological cancer.”
Professor Manchanda’s work in this role will support the Division of Gynaecological Oncology (Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology) at AIIMS, and will grow collaborative working between Queen Mary University of London, Barts Health NHS Trust and AIIMS.
