Research Focus

My research is focused on the tumour microenvironment of breast cancer with a particular focus on metabolic crosstalk between pericytes and its surrounding environment. Using breast cancer biopsies (from an ethnically diverse patient cohort), pre-clinical and in vitro models, as well as computer tools, I aim to reveal key metabolic vulnerabilities in the breast tumour microenvironment to ultimately improve personalized treatment.
